Context
The rise of fast fashion has immensely increased the use of environmentally harmful materials like synthetic fabrics. When washed, these fabrics release plastic microfibers that pollute our oceans and water systems.
description
A continual video sequence with correlating audio is projected onto hand sculpted marine life figures covered in fabric, creating an ominous yet beautiful experience.
statistics
Around 9 million microfibers are released into the ocean in a single load of laundry.

85% of plastic pollution in the ocean is due to microfibers from synthetic clothing.
